Full Exam: Examination with otoscope to fully evaluate the ear canal and ear drum.
Assessment of:
‧ Otalgia (ear pain)
‧ Otorrhea (ear drainage)
‧ Otitis (infection of external, middle or inner ear)
‧ Tinnitus (ringing)
‧ Dizziness (determine if ear related or otherwise)
‧ Foreign body in ear with removal
‧ Middle ear effusion (“fluid in the ear”)
Ear Cleaning: Safe and professional removal of cerumen.
Hearing Tests: Hearing tests can be arranged (off-site) if necessary and subsequently interpreted with treatment options discussed.

Endoscopic Examination: An exam of the nasal cavity and sinus openings. Can be done with or without topical anesthetic.
Assessment of:
‧ Nasal congestion (stuffy nose)
‧ Nasal drainage (allergic rhinitis, sinusitis) with culture if necessary
‧ Nasal mass/polyp
‧ Nose bleeds (can be controlled with cautery or packing in office)
‧ Anatomic obstruction (i.e. deviated septum)

Examination of oral cavity and pharynx/larynx.
Assessment of:
‧ Throat pain or infection
‧ Mass/growth
‧ Hoarseness
‧ TMJ (Botox can be used in medical management)

In some cases, audiologic testing (such as hearing or balance testing) may be useful for diagnosis. We can arrange for you to see an audiologist and review the testing results together with you to determine the best next steps for you.

Some conditions may require use of imaging studies such as ultrasound, CT scan or MRI for further evaluation if physical examination alone does not reveal the diagnosis or best treatment.
We can arrange imaging studies, and then discuss together what the studies reveal and our treatment options.
